White grape pips

The wine-growing practices of the Nantes region vineyards, that use the Melon de Bourgogne grape variety, enable the Baron distillery to collect the pips from the white grapes.
They are widely used in the pharmaceutical, para-pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries because of their high content of polyphenols (natural anti-oxidants).
The pips are also used to produce grape-pip oil.

• Compost
We are very environmentally conscious, so that we make sure that our activities don’t produce any pollutants, and we are in fact beneficial for the environment!
To paraphrase the chemist Lavoisier “Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed” we could make this saying our motto !
We are, in fact, ideally situated near Nantes on the banks of the river Loire, where for generations market gardens have flourished and for whom we offer our composts that are end-products of the distillation and the various other processes. These composts are used to enrich the soil of the markets gardens of the Nantes area, famous for its early vegetables, with a natural and very complete fertiliser. During the growing season, the liquid wastes are spread onto agricultural land and thereby also provide nutrients for the production of forage crops.

Each stage of manufacture therefore forms part of a production process in which environmental specifications are strictly complied with.
